Swiss pianist Susanna Braun is a young emerging talent on the classical music scene. In 2024, she made her debut at the Tonhalle Z\u00fcrich performing Mozart\u2019s Piano Concerto KV 466 and earned praise for her \u201csensitive touch, high virtuosity, and expressiveness\u201d (Schaffhauser Nachrichten).<\/span><\/p>\n

She regularly performs at renowned venues across Europe, including TivoliVredenburg Utrecht, Tonhalle Z\u00fcrich (Great and Small Hall), ETH Z\u00fcrich, BBC Philharmonic Studio, Manchester\u2019s RNCM Concert Hall, Bridgewater and Stoller Hall, London\u2019s Steinway Hall, St Mary\u2019s Perivale, St James\u2019s Church Piccadilly, Birmingham Town Hall, Weimarhalle, Bechstein Centrum Hamburg, Spiegelzaal of the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Teatro Comunale in Ferrara, and Ehrbar Hall in Vienna.<\/span><\/p>\n

In June 2025, she appeared with the BBC Philharmonic for the first time, performing Bacewicz\u2019s Piano Concerto, which was also recorded for a live BBC Radio 3 broadcast. The Arts Desk described her interpretation as \u201cgentle, bittersweet and evocative\u201d. She has also collaborated with the Manchester Camerata, the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine, the Sinfonietta Schaffhausen, the Jena Philharmonie, the Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock, and the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory Orchestra of Florence, among others. This spring, she will perform Prokofiev\u2019s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra.<\/span><\/p>\n

She has already earned significant international recognition. In 2025, she reached the semifinals of the International Franz Liszt Piano Competition in Utrecht; in 2024 she was a top ten candidate at the Rina Sala Gallo International Piano Competition in Monza and one of only 36 participants selected for the Concours G\u00e9za Anda. For her artistic achievements she has received numerous awards \u2013 among them the Brigitte Engerer Prize \u201cJeune espoir\u201d at the 2023 Piano Campus in Paris. Her early achievements include first prizes at the International Competition for Young Musicians Enschede, the Ferrara International Piano Festival, and the Swiss Youth Music Competition, as well as the Encouragement Prize awarded by the Neues Orchester Basel.<\/span><\/p>\n

Susanna, discovered by Maestro Danilo Manto, received her musical education at leading institutions in Europe and England. She holds the prestigious International Artist Diploma (IAD) from the RNCM (Royal Northern College of Music) and the Academy Diploma from the Imola International Academy \u201cIncontri con il Maestro\u201d. She earned her master\u2019s degree at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik FRANZ LISZT Weimar and her bachelor\u2019s degree with honours at the RNCM. Additionally, she received the Dipl\u00f4me Sup\u00e9rieur with highest distinction from the Schola Cantorum in Paris. She is currently pursuing the \u201cSpecialized Music Performance \u2013 Soloist\u201d programme at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) as well as the post-diploma programme at the Imola International Academy. Her principal teachers include Till Fellner, Grigory Gruzman, Boris Petrushansky, and Helen Krizos.<\/span><\/p>\n

A passionate chamber musician, she is the founder and artistic director of BlenioMusica, the annual chamber music festival held in Valle di Blenio (Switzerland), now in its sixth year (2026) and recognized for its innovative programming featuring young artists from around the world.<\/span><\/p>\n

Susanna is part of the Valaris Music family, with whom she recorded her first album, \u201cOUROBOROS\u201d. She has recently performed for the Orpheum Foundation and is grateful for the Excellence Scholarship of the ZHdK Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Swiss-Austrian cellist Alessandra Doninelli earned international recognition with her debut at the Berlin Philharmonie giving the premiere of Daniel Pacitti cello concerto. Her radiant personality and expressive musicianship, brought Alessandra on the stages of the world\u2019s leading venues, including the Tokyo Opera City, the Tonhalle in Zurich, the Minato-Mirai Hall in Yokohama, the Swiss federal Palace, the Palau de la Musica Catalana in Barcelona, and the Auditorio Nacional de Musica in Madrid.<\/p>\n

Alessandra recently appeared as a soloist with the “Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana”, the \u201cBasel Sinfonieorchester\u201d, the “Stuttgarter Kammerorchester”, the \u201cCamerata dei Castelli\u201d and the \u201cEurasian Soloists Chamber Orchestra\u201d under the baton of Andrey Boreyko, Kevin Griffiths, Andreas Laake and Fran\u00e7ois Benda.<\/p>\n

\u201cMusic is capable of moving the mountains and when we share those fleeting episodes of sound with others, the entire planet finds itself in another galaxy\u201d through those words Alessandra expresses the power that chamber music has for her. She worked with inspiring mentors including G\u00fcnter Pichler (Alban Berg quartet), Eberhard Feltz, Oliver Wille (Kuss Quartet, Rainer Schmidt (Hagen Quaret), Heime M\u00fcller (Artemis Quaret), Heinz Holliger and won the prize for the \u201cmost outstanding chamber music group with piano\u201d of 2020-2021 academic year at the Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia awarded by the queen of Spain. Alessandra is member of the Trio Michelangeli, prize winner at the 2023 Osaka International Chamber Music Competition in Japan.<\/p>\n

Alessandra performed at various festivals including “Herbst in der Helferei”, \u201cPablo Casals Festival\u201d, \u201cMonighetti&Friends, \u201cMusik Miteinander\u201d at the Kronberg Academy, \u201cMusique \u00e0 Flaine\u201d, \u201cEggenfelden Klassisch\u201d, \u201cCeresio Estate\u201d and collaborated with inspiring chamber music partners such as Vilde Frang, Yura Lee, Fabio di Casola, Mi-kyung Lee, Roland Glassl and Calogero Palermo.<\/p>\n

BBC Radio3 broadcasted multiple times the live recording of her Saint-Saens cello concerto with the Orchestra della Svizzera Italiana. She created a long-lasting relationship with the Swiss-Italian Radio-television (RSI) giving a live-concert recital with the pianist Dominic Chamot, appearing in the tv program \u201cPaganini\u201d and in the documentary film \u201cArchi nel Sol Levante\u201d. For the RSI Alessandra also recorded the piano trio of the Dutch composer Elisabeth Kuyper, showing her passion for the discovery of neglected composers and her aim to bring their music to light.<\/p>\n

Alessandra studied under the guidance of Ivan Monighetti and Sol Gabetta at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik Basel and later at the Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia in Madrid. Furthermore, she was part of the 2019 class at the Pavia cello academy with Enrico Dindo and is currently studying with Wen Sinn Yang at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik und Theater in Munich.<\/p>\n

Michael Temporal Darell is a member of the Internationales Opernstudio at the Luzerner Theater and a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music.<\/p>\n

Michael\u2019s roles in 2025\/26 are Ned Keene in Peter Grimes (Luzerner Theater), Sprecher in Die Zauberfl\u00f6te (Luzerner Theater), Marchese D\u2019Orbigny in La Traviata (Ouverture Op\u00e9ra Sion), Bello in La Fanciulla del West (Opera Holland Park) in addition to a series of Korngold and Mahler recitals in London, Vienna, and Switzerland.<\/p>\n

In the 2024\/25 season, engagements include Flowerdew in ITCH at Opera Holland Park, Dr Blind\/Cover Falke in Die Fledermaus and Jazztrio in Trouble in Tahiti at the Luzerner Theater, a solo recital at the Fidelio Cafe with long term collaborator Francesca Lauri, Adam in Haydn\u2019s Creation at St John Smith Square, Ramiro in L\u2019heure espagnole, Donald in Billy Budd for New Palace Opera, Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas, Clonter Opera Spring Showcase, and as a guest artist at the Great North Proms – Newcastle O2. In addition to this, Michael was an Opera Prelude Young Artist for 2024.<\/p>\n

Highlights from 2023 include, a return to New Sussex Opera to perform with Sir John Tomlinson, solo recital at Am Hof 8 in Vienna, and a recital with pianist Leslie Howard, Baritone solos in Carmina Burana and Brahms Requiem under the baton of John Lubbock, his role debut as Valentin in Faust for New Sussex Opera, Bach cantatas at the Royal Academy of Music under the baton of Masaaki Suzuki, The Prisoner for Gardner’s new opera \u2018The Prisoner\u2019 with libretto by author and historian Matthew Green and directed by Eleanor Burke, Troll in Waley-Cohen\u2019s \u2018Witch\u2019 for Royal Academy Opera directed by Polly Graham and conducted by Ryan Wigglesworth,<\/p>\n

Other notable performances include, Cox (Cox and Box) at the Reform Club for Opera at Home, Earl Mountararat (Iolanthe) for Green Opera directed by Eleanor Burke, King Alfred in Gardner\u2019s \u2018A New England\u2019 at the Royal Academy of Music and T\u00e9te \u00e1 T\u00e9te Opera Festival, Dr. Malatesta (Don Pasquale), Count Almaviva (Le Nozze di Figaro), and Figaro (Il Barbiere di Siviglia) for Opera Scenes at the Royal Academy of Music. Michael was also a Southrepps Festival Young Artist in 2022.<\/p>\n

Prior to studying at the Royal Academy of Music, Michael Temporal Darell was a joint principal study singer and composer at the Purcell School for Young Musicians and at the Royal Academy of Music\u2019s Junior Academy. During this time, he was taught voice by John Lattimore.<\/p>\n

Izzy Howard is a British violinist who has extensively performed as a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician. She has enjoyed playing in various international festivals around the world including the BBC Proms, Edinburgh International Festival, Aldeburgh Festival, the Mozarteum Festival, Virtuoso Belcanto, BlenioMusica, the Curtis Institute Young Artist Program and was a Prizewinner at the 2020 and 2021 Verao Classico in Lisbon.<\/p>\n

This past year Izzy has given a series of performances of the Brahms Double Concerto with Danushka Erdirisinghe and orchestras around the UK. Prior to this she gave a series of recitals in Canada with the sponsorship of the Elton John Foundation with venues including the Richard Bradshaw Amphitheatre and Mazzoleni Concert Hall. Other recent chamber performances have seen her performing at Wigmore Hall, LSO St Luke\u2019s, Kings Place and the Royal-over-Seas League and alongside such established names as Jack Liebeck and Voces8.<\/p>\n

Since playing on the London Symphony Orchestra\u2019s prestigious string scheme in 2022\/23 Izzy has enjoyed playing in a variety of orchestral settings. As an orchestral musician she is now playing as part of the London Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia, London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. She has enjoyed working with great conductors such as Gustavo Dudamel, Simon Rattle, Gianandrea Noseda, Antonio Pappano, Daniel Harding and Santtu-Matias Rouvali. This year she has been apart of orchestral tours across Europe, Asia and the US.<\/p>\n

In 2024 Izzy finished her Masters degree at the Royal Academy of Music in London studying with Jack Liebeck and Clio Gould.<\/p>\n

In 2021, he graduated with honors in Clarinet from the ISSM \u201cG. Verdi\u201d in Ravenna, under the guidance of M\u00ba Stefano Franceschini. He is currently attending a Master\u2019s program in Contemporary Music at Kunstuniversit\u00e4t Graz, led by the Ensemble Klangforum Wien.<\/span><\/p>\n

He has collaborated as principal clarinet and soloist with numerous festivals, including Elevate Festival, Vevey Spring Classic Festival, Cantiere Internazionale d\u2019Arte di Montepulciano, Trame Sonore, Sagra Musicale Malatestiana, Angelica Festival, Emilia Romagna Festival, Ravenna Festival, Verdi Festival, and Reggio Parma Festival.<\/span><\/p>\n

He has performed for various artistic institutions, including the Venice Biennale, MamBo, Art City, Fabbrica del Vapore and Spazio Altrove. Finalist in several national and international competitions, he won First Absolute Prize at the \u201cInternational Competition Luigi Zanuccoli,\u201d the international competition \u201cPremio Crescendo,\u201d and the \u201cUK International Music Competition,\u201d performing Riul by Isang Yun, the latter in the Duo category. He also received the Jury Prize at the \u201cPremio Crescendo A.GI.MUS.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

He has collaborated with artists including Cuoghi Corsello, Massimo Bartolini, Yuval Avital, Italo Zuffi, Tommaso Silvestroni, Stefania Galegati, and Diana De Luca.<\/span><\/p>\n

He has worked with major opera and symphonic institutions, including the Fondazione Arturo Toscanini and the Fondazione Teatro alla Scala, the latter as a member of the contemporary music ensemble \u201cGiorgio Bernasconi.\u201d He is co-founder of the contemporary music collective \u201cWKO \u2013 Camerata Degli Ammutinati,\u201d with which he staged the Italian premiere of the opera The Tell-Tale Heart by Dutch composer Willem Jeths. He is also a member of the contemporary music ensemble \u201cIstantanea.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Born in 2000 in Mersin, Turkey, into a Georgian musical family, Sofiko Tchumburidze began studying the violin at theage of six under the guidance of her mother, Lily Tchumburidze, at the Mersin University State Conservatory. She started her undergraduate studies in 2018 at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik und Theater M\u00fcnchen with Prof. Lena Neudauer and completed her degree under Prof. Julia Fischer. Currently, she is pursuing a master\u2019s degree with Prof. Julia Fischer, while also studying Baroque violin under Prof. Mary Utiger.<\/p>\n

The violinist has participated in masterclasses withrenowned musicians such as Lukas David, Nora Chastain, Rudens Turku, Volker Jacobsen, Sergey Kravchenko, Dora Schwarzberg, Pierre Amoyal, Mayumi Hirasaki, Cihat A\u015fk\u0131n, \u00d6zcan Ulucan, and Dimitri Sitkovetsky. Chamber music holdsa prominent place in her artistic life. As a chamber musician, she has performed at prestigious events such as the Istanbul Bo\u011fazi\u00e7i Albert Long Hall Chamber Music Festival, the Chamber Music Days of the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik und Theater M\u00fcnchen, and the Schloss Elmau Chamber Music Festival, with some performances recorded by Bayerischer Rundfunk radio station.<\/p>\n

In addition to her chamber music work, Tchumburidze also appeared on stage as a soloist with orchestras such as the Presidental Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of T\u00fcrkiye, Bursa Government Symphony Orchestra, Eski\u015fehir Symphony Orchestra, Antalya Symphony Orchestra. She has also participated in national and international festivals, including the Youth Classics Festival, Semmering International Summer Festival, Istanbul Young Classical Musicians Festival, Seefeld Starnberger Music Days, Salzburg Festival, Tsinandali Festival, and Insel Festival, in Switzerland, Austria, Turkey, and Germany. recorded a CD with the Mozarteum Orchestra under the direction of Howard Griffiths for Alpha Classics and has performed concerts with Julia Fischer in Gr\u00fcnwald. She shared the stage with Maxim Vengerov at a concert organized by \u00c7EV Sanat at Istanbul\u2019s Zorlu PSM. Since 2022, she has been performing with the renowned West-Eastern Divan Orchestra under the baton of Daniel Barenboim, appearing in cities such as Cologne, Ljubljana, Salzburg, Berlin, and Lucerne. Additionally, she performed at the Schloss Elmau Georgian Festival alongside world-famous mandolinist Avi Avital and the celebrated Georgian ensemble, the Rustavi Ensemble.<\/p>\n

Sofiko has won numerous awards from an early age. She earned first prize at the G\u00fclden Tural\u0131 National Young Musicians Violin Competition and was named \u201cStudent of the Year\u201d by the Rudens Turku Foundation through audience choice, receiving a special award as well. She won first prize at the Ana Chumachenco Competition in Germany, first prize at the 3rd National Chamber Music Competition in Turkey with her piano trio. Also she was the winner of the first prize given in the name of Meri\u00e7 Soylu at the concert series organized in \u0130stanbul \u201c\u0130\u015f Sanat Parlayan Y\u0131ld\u0131zlar\u201d which is one of the important organizations for young artists.<\/p>\n

A scholarship recipient of the \u00c7EV Sanat (Contemporary Education Foundation), Sofiko Tchumburidze continues her musical career playing a highly valuable 1890 Lorenzo Ventapane violin, awarded to her as a result of winning the 2024 Musikinstrumentenfonds competition, organized by the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben.<\/p>\n

Since winning the 2016 International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition at the age of 20, Veriko Tchumburidze has built a reputation as a captivating soloist, chamber musician and recording artist. \u201cShe is a breath of future,\u201d said Andrzej Wituski, the competition\u2019s director, \u201cShe brings us closer to the world of her own imagination\u201d. Andante, Turkey\u2019s leading classical music magazine named her the country\u2019s Best Emerging Musician.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the highlights of 2025\/26 season, Veriko Tchumburidze returns to the Gda\u0144sk Music Festival, BlenioMusica and the Krzy\u017cowa Music Festival. She appears for the first time at the Telavi International Music Festival, makes her debut at Dynamikfest Salzburg. She will also give her soloist debut in Spain with the Orquesta Sinf\u00f3nica del Principado de Asturias. Closely engaged with contemporary creation and composers, she will give the world premiere of Saturn Violin Concerto by Anastasia Laghidze at the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tchumburidze has appeared with the Warsaw Philarmonic Orchestra, Melbourne Symphony, NMF Wroclaw, Lahti Symphony and Sinfonia Varsovia, Borusan Philarmonic Orchestra (opening the Istanbul Music Festival), Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt, Lahti Symphony, Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra, Mozarteumorchester Salzburg, Musikkollegium Winterthur, as well as the Munich Chamber and Zurich Chamber Orchestra. She has collaborated with such conductors as \u0141ukasz Borowicz, Ruben Gazarian, Sascha Goetzel, Howard Griffiths, Gemma New, Michael Sanderling, Andrey Boreyko, Aziz Shokhakimov and Dima Slobodeniouk. As a keen exponent of chamber music, she partners in recital with Pianists Ketevan Sepashvili and Mamikon Nakhapetov and was formerly a member of Trio Arte, a piano trio which in 2016 won first prize at the Pietro Argento International Music Competition in Gioia del Colle, Italy. 2016 also brought the world premiere at the Istanbul Music Festival of Ludus Modalis, a work dedicated to Trio Arte by the distinguished Turkish composer \u00d6zkan Manav. Since 2022, she is a member of Trio Vecando, a piano trio. <\/span><\/p>\n

Veriko Tchumburidze recorded Anton Wranitzky\u2019s Violin Concerto in C for Sony Classical with the Munich Chamber Orchestra and conductor Howard Griffiths. Her recording on the Klanglogo label of John Williams\u2019 music for the film Schindler\u2019s List with Howard Griffiths conducting the Brandenburgisches Staatsorchester Frankfurt led to a headlining appearance, under the aegis of the Orpheum Musik Stiftung, at the opening concert of the 2016 Zurich Film Festival at the Swiss city\u2019s opera house.<\/span><\/p>\n

Born into a Georgian family in Adana, southern Turkey, Veriko Tchumburidze initially trained at Mersin University State Conservatory with Selahattin Yunkus and Lily Tchumburidze. In 2010 she has started to study in with Dora Schwarzberg at the MDW in Vienna as a scholar of the Young Musicians on World Stages (YMWS) project. Between 2015-2022, she studied at Prof. Ana Chumachenko’s class. She has also participated in the masterclasses of Albert Markov, Shlomo Mintz, and Igor Ozim, in the Seiji Ozawa Academy Masterclass and, also in Switzerland, the Verbier Festival Academy.<\/span><\/p>\n

The website pizzicato.lu praised his performance of Rebecca Clarke\u2019s Sonata as \u201cgripping, energetic, and lyrical, with moments of floating impressionistic magic.<\/em>\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

He has performed as a soloist in prestigious venues such as Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in New York, the Wiener Saal of the Mozarteum in Salzburg, and the Madinat Theatre in Dubai.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a soloist with orchestra, he has collaborated with I Musici di Parma, Master Orchestra of Verona, Eurasia Chamber Orchestra, Pazardzhik Symphony Orchestra, and the Chamber Orchestra of Breganzona, presenting a repertoire that ranges from major masterpieces to rarities of the viola literature.<\/span><\/p>\n

Born in 1999, he studied at the G. Verdi Conservatory in Como, the L. Perosi Academy in Biella, and the Internationale Musikakademie in Liechtenstein. He was a student of Anna Serova and Alexander Gordon (Zemtsov), and took part in masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Nobuko Imai, Timothy Ridout, Thomas Riebl, Hartmut Rohde, M\u00e1t\u00e9 Sz\u0171cs, Wilfried Strehle, Paul Silverthorne, Danilo Rossi, Simone Gramaglia, Marco Rizzi, Oliver Wille, Andrea Lucchesini, and Zakhar Bron.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a soloist and chamber musician, he has been invited to international festivals including the Livorno Music Festival, Spoleto Festival, Emilia Romagna Festival, Gog Giovine Orchestra Genovese, LacMus Festival, BlenioMusica, among many others, performing alongside renowned artists such as Bruno Canino, Pavel Gililov, Veriko Tchumburize, Boris Garlitsky, Alexandra Conunova, David Geringas, Alban Gherardt, Pavel Berman, Eva Bindere, Alexander Zemtsov, Mair\u00e9ad Hickey, Ivan Karizna, Andrea Lucchesini, Teofil Milenkovic, Marco Rizzi, Hugo Ticciati, Denitsa Laffchieva, Vittorio Ceccanti, and Massimo Mercelli. He has also taken part in the Mit Musik Miteinander project of the Kronberg Academy.<\/span><\/p>\n

His debut album English Music for Viola and Piano, recorded with Fabio Napoletano and released by Da Vinci Classics (2021), was met with critical acclaim (Rai Radio 3, Archi Magazine, Rivista MUSICA). His most recent recording for Da Vinci features him as viola soloist with the Pazardzhik Symphony Orchestra conducted by Alexander Gordon, with the special participation of Denitsa Laffchieva.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vittorio is a scholarship recipient of the Internationale Musikakademie in Liechtenstein and a winner of Villa Musica Rheinland-Pfalz, which will lead him to perform as both soloist and chamber musician in major festivals and concert halls across Germany.<\/span><\/p>\n

Beatrice Manvati (2002) is an Italian dancer and performer. After beginning her dance training at a young age, she attended a dance-focused high school and later graduated from the DanceHaus Susanna Beltrami Academy, completing a three-year professional training program. <\/span><\/p>\n

She has taken part in various contemporary dance productions, performing at Milan-based festivals such as MilanOltre Festival and Festival Exister.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lorenzo Tonta was born in Varese in 2001 and received his musical training at the Civico Liceo Musicale ‘R.Malipiero’ in Varese, under the guidance of Maestro Alberto Cazzulani, which led him to win the first prize at the national music competition ‘Citt\u00e0 di Tradate’ (VA).<\/p>\n

In 2020 he began his studies at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano with Francesco Tamiati, Giuliano Sommerhalder and Antonio Faillaci.<\/p>\n

Since 2021 he has taken part in numerous concerts of various orchestras, such as: “L’Orchestra da camera di Lugano”, the “Monferrato Classic Orchestra”, “900Presente” of the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana, the orchestra “United Soloist” of Lugano, the ensemble “Soli deo Gloria” and other ensembles in the Lombardy region.<\/p>\n

He also collaborates with the orchestra of the “Le Nove” project in Lugano, performing Beethoven’s third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth Symphonies.<\/p>\n

This project has been conducted by internationally renowned conductors such as John Neschling, Vitali Alekseenok, Massimo Quarta, Arturo Tamayo, Fran\u00e7ois Benda, Enrico Dindo, Christoph K\u00f6nig, Francesco Bossaglia, Francesco Angelico, Florian Ludwig and others.<\/p>\n

In 2023 he was at the prestigious Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik in Detmold with Klaus Br\u00e4ker, Anne Haineman and Hannes Rux under the Erasmus program.<\/p>\n

He has also followed masterclasses with world-renowned teachers, such as Max Sommerhalder, Marco Pierobon and Sergiu Castrea.<\/p>\n

A highlight was the collaboration with the composer Du Yun for the first performance of the piece “Paper boat”, for three trumpets, trombones, and drones.<\/p>\n

Marc-Andr\u00e9 has been presented with the ICMA Classeek Award in April 2023, where he performed with the NFM Philharmonic alongside their music director Giancarlo Guerrero, in Wroc\u0142aw at the ICMA Gala Concert.\u200b Seduced by a burning desire to change the world of classic music, Marc-Andr\u00e9\u2019s playing can only be described as \u201cthe most exquisite and elegant sound on the double bass. Marc-Andr\u00e9 completely redefines the possibilities of the double bass, reaching millions of people through social media with a devoted, international fan base that continues to grow. Combining both the fashion and music world together has led him to unify generations of music lovers and reach a much wider and diverse audience.\u00a0 Born in 2002 in Vienna, Marc-Andr\u00e9 always felt grateful for spending his childhood in the city of music. \u201cThe combination between growing up with a family of musicians while absorbing all the culture Vienna has to offer gave me the most inspiring environment to find my own purpose\u201d, he says. \u201cBecoming a musician was a natural conclusion\u201d.<\/p>\n

In 2022\/2023 M.A has been invited to make his debut as soloist with the \u201cOrchestre Symphonique R\u00e9gion Centre-Val de Loire\/Tours\u201d under the baton of Alexandra Cravero at the \u201cGrand Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Tours.\u201c Another highlight of the season included his solo debut in the golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein.<\/p>\n

Even at a young age, Marc-Andr\u00e9 has already achieved great international success. At just 19, he won the prestigious Swiss competition \u201cRahn Musikpreis,\u201d which will see him perform in concerts around Switzerland for the next four years. A winner of the Anton Bruckner First prize from the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, he has also won prizes at the Karl Ditters von Dittersdorf Competition in Slovakia and the Angelika-Prokopp Summer Academy of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.<\/p>\n

He has played in a series of concerts with the French cellist Gautier Capu\u00e7on as part of his program \u201cun \u00e9t\u00e9 en France\u201d and performed as a chamber musician at the B\u00fcrgenstock Festival in Switzerland with musicians such as Andreas Ottensamer, Ray Chen, and Maximilian Hornung.<\/p>\n

In autumn 2021 the young double bass player made his debut in Germany at the cultural events in Wetzlar. In the 2022-2023 season Marc-Andr\u00e9 will be artist in residence, and a CD project will follow.<\/p>\n

M.A regularly gives concerts in the most renowned concert halls, including the Wiener Konzerthaus, Wiener Musikverein, Salzburger Mozarteum, Auditorio Nacional de M\u00fasica Madrid, Grand Auditorium de Radio France Paris, to name just a few.<\/p>\n

Marc-Andr\u00e9 plays a double bass made by Martin Sto\u00df, Vienna, 1827, which is kindly provided to him by a private sponsor from Austria.<\/p>\n

In 2013, he performed for the first time as a soloist with the Orchestra del Conservatorio. In 2016, he was admitted to the Pre-College section in Lugano.<\/p>\n

From 2016 to 2018, he played in the Youth Orchestra of the Menuhin Festival in Gstaad under the direction of Matthias Kuhn. At the Swiss Youth Music Competition in 2018, he won first prize at the regional competition and second prize in the final in Zurich. Since 2016, Samuel has been the first bassoon of the Orchestra Giovanile della Svizzera Italiana, with which he has toured in Spain and Italy.<\/p>\n

Since 2016, he has taken part in the summer masterclasses of Gabor Meszaros as well as in the international chamber music course held by the bassoonist David Schneebeli and in a masterclass by Dag Jensen. In 2020, after serving in the army for 5 months, he began his Bachelor of Arts in Music in Lugano, and since 2021, he has been the principal first bassoon in the Swiss Army Symphonic Wind Orchestra. In 2022, he collaborated with the Z\u00fcrcher Symphoniker and also with artists such as Andreas Laake for the concert performance of Beethoven’s septet and Schubert’s octet. Also in 2022, he took part in a project called “Maestri and Young Promises,” collaborating with Andrea Oliva, Jacques Deleplanque, Ivan Podyomov, and Calogero Palermo.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2023, he graduated with honors from the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana, and since 2024, he has been studying at the Hochschule Luzern \u2013 Musik.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sergio Notarangelo, born in 2002, started to practice music in the small village of Rasa, in Varese (Italy). After the first impact with music, he began to learn music professionally in Varese, attending the local music school “Riccardo Malipiero”, with the horn teacher Alberto Bertoni, through which he met important people of Italian orchestras, such as Danilo Stagni and Roberto Miele (both principal horns in Scala theatre of Milan), Andrea Albori (principal horn of Orchestra Regionale Toscana) and Sandro Ceccarelli (principal horn of Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano).<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2019 he won the prize “Giuliano Milanese”, which permitted him to play for the first time as a soloist.<\/span><\/p>\n

After having successfully completed the studies in Varese, in 2021 he started the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana with the teacher Jorge Monte de Fez, where he is finishing the 3rd year of bachelor\u2019s in performance. In 2022 he began researching period instruments, studying ancient horn up to the baroque era.<\/span><\/p>\n
